Placing an order and picking it up

Every PickupChef store is run by a real home cook out of their own kitchen. You order through their menu, pay (or pay cash on collection), and pick up at the time you've chosen.

Finding a store

Most chefs share their store directly — a link on Instagram, a printout at a local market, a QR code on their door. Once you have the link, bookmark it. Each chef's URL stays the same week to week.

Placing the order

  1. Pick the items you'd like.
  2. Choose a pickup slot — these are limited, so earlier is better.
  3. Add a phone number we can text you on if anything changes.
  4. Pay by card, or pick “cash on collection” if the chef offers it.

The pickup window

Show up any time inside your window. If you can, show up roughly when you said — chefs are usually working in waves and a packed first ten minutes can mean a cold ten minutes for everyone. If you're running late, message the chef.

Refunds and changes

Need to change something? Reach the chef directly using the contact details on your order confirmation — they can adjust quantities, swap dishes, or cancel ahead of pickup. For platform issues (the site won't load, your payment bounced), email support@pickupchef.app and we'll sort it.
